I Have Returned...continued

I must say that I completely forgot about Timmy being on my team.  He was a pretty good athlete too.
Back to the girls!
Theresa: I didn't really get to know her very well, but she seemed okay.
And you guys know all about me.
I had a total blast at camp, and I met a person from the town I moved to!  Yes, he's a guy, no, I don't have a crush on him, and no, I didn't get a boyfriend at camp.  Just sayin'.
His name is Harley, but I used to always try to call him Gideon, because last year, he showed me how he drinks when he's out hunting, and it was the same way Gideon's men that he kept drank, and stuff like that.  So I had it in my mind that his name was Gideon, but it's actually Harley.  And the way I can always remember it is to think of motorcycles.
He's a pretty cool guy.  We hung out yesterday, because he was bored, and I was bored, and I had a cold, but he was okay with me hanging out with him anyway.  And then this morning, my mom and his mom (who met yesterday and really hit it off.) went on a girls morning out, and I hung out with him and "watched" his little brothers with him.  In reality, I watched him play a video game, and took a nap.  Well a sort of nap, I never really fell asleep.
His little brothers are kinda cute and funny.  They really want a free puppy from next door, but their parents won't let them get any, so they smuggled a puppy in the house, then I tried to help them take it back, and it didn't exactly work....
And now I'm at the library watching Despicable Me 2, and blogging.
And tomorrow is my first church league softball game.  It's gonna be AWESOME.  The first game was actually last week, but I was at camp.
Anyway, I wanna go write a book now.  Goodbye.

At Last I Have Returned!

I'm finally back from my wonderful youth camp.  And I already miss it.  Well, maybe I don't miss camp but I do miss the people there.  I don't miss getting up early, or playing volleyball, or having to remember to turn the fan in my dorm room off.  I quite enjoyed my sleep in this morning.  I don't miss getting sunburns, or kitchen duty, or dorm duty, and I definitely don't miss prep/serve, because I have to wait forever to get to eat, which is super super sad.
I'm very hungry right now.  I forgot to eat before coming to the library.
I'm also watching a movie while I type on my lovely blog.
Okay, so back to camp....
I'll start with my team.  The sponsors were really nice.  I liked them.  And we actually had a theme song for our team :)  It was: The Wise Man Built his House Upon the Rock.  And, if we said these four verses, we would get four dollars...I said the four verses.
And my team was: Leevi, Brett (the same one I had on my first team,) Michael, Dan, Jeremy, I feel like I might be forgetting someone...but I don't think so...for the boys.  And the girls; Emma, Bridgette, Martha, Theresa, and me.  I shall now give you a short camp biography of each of my teammates.
Leevi: My friend's cousin, who can play guitar, and can play guitar behind his back, which is pretty cool, though I haven't seen it yet, but he's gonna get me a video of it someday.
Brett: He goes to my school--or I go to his since he was there before me--and he's pretty athletic and stuff like that.
Michael:  He's a little guy, but he's actually 14, and he's kind of sweet, but no, not that kind of sweet so you know, because I don't like him like that.
Dan:  College guy, from Penn View Bible Institute, tall, dark, and handsome would be a good way to describe him and his eyes are amazing.  Although, I will also say that he's got a girlfriend who flew to...Romania I think.  He's also a good athlete.  If we were allowed to vote on college guys for the All Stars Game, I would totally vote for him.
Jeremy: He's the most awesome guy ever.  He was homeschooled his whole life, and is from Union Bible College, and he's the lead singer, and was afraid he was going to have a bad cold which would be bad if he was the lead singer.
For the girls:
Emma: A pretty good athlete, and the niece of our sponsors.  And stuff like that.
Bridgette: She's one of my best friends at camp, and she's a good therapist, and she's really good at giving shoulder massages too.  I wanted to kidnap her and bring her with me and stuff.
Martha: She's a really sweet girl.  So sweet.  Kind of quiet, and she gives the air of a shy bookworm.  Although I like bookworms.  She gave the most amazing testimony.
...to be continued do to library closing...

Tipytoetype

Pay no heed to the title, I just couldn't come up with a better one, and "Hey there!" is kind of unoriginal.  At least mine is unique!  I have a question for you.  How do you catch a wild rabbit?  Oh wait, I remember!!!  Unique up on him!  But...how do you catch a tame rabbit?  Oh wait, I remember again...The tame way!
Okay, so now that I got that joke out of my system...
You guys know how excited I was for Youth Camp right?  Well, as you all know Youth Camp is over.  I don't miss Youth Camp, with the up early, and all the sports, which kind of exhausted me.  I really don't like volleyball.  Softball I do like.  Those were the two sports that the teens play.
I miss the people.  Justice, Bridget, Melissa, Katie, Karen, Arkista, my sponsors, tons of other people, I don't really miss the people on my team, awesome though they were, and more than likely still are, because, well, I didn't really befriend any of them.  I played on their team for sports, but I didn't really end up being good friends with any of them.
Well, there's a camp coming up where I'll be able to see some of my friends from camp!!!  It's a general camp (I think) everyone, and anyone can come, and it costs nothing unless you spend the night, and then I think that it's only 6 dollars a day for a dorm room.  And then the meals are free, and we have church, which isn't mandatory, (unless you're a minor and your parents make you go) but I like them.  Most of them.  I really hate it though when pastors shout and yell.  Once in a while is okay, you know, to prove a point, but I hate it when half of the sermon is yelled.  It scares the stuffing out of me, and makes me just sit there, sitting through it not really listening, and it's in no way going to convince me of sin, and go to the altar.  If anything, it will scare me to death.
Once I heard a guy preach on Hell.  Rather loudly, when I was...seven I guess, and ever since then I have been terrified of Hell...
Annnnnyyyyway, I'll get to see some of my friends.  Justice! :)  I'm really excited to see all of the ones that will be there, but especially Justice.
So yeah, I'm excited about that.
Anyway, I'm running short on things to say.  Nothing exciting has been happening, not really, sooooo, here am I, making posts about practically nothing.
G'bye.

Fun Day!

Okay, so yeah, I know it's been forever since I last made a post.  of course I was at Youth camp!
Wanna hear all about it? You do don't you?  Oh yeah, I can see it in your eyes, you want to know every little detail about youth camp!
Okay, well to start with I made several friends there.  Here's a list of the ones I made last year, and hung out with this year too:
Bridget
Katie
Arkista
Crystal.
Okay, and then here's a list of my new friends.
Justice
Tater Tot
Kelly.
I just realized that most of those are boys.  And one of them is pretty cute.  Okay, honestly, there were a lot of cute boys at Youth Camp, but only one really stood out to me.
Okay, so the first day of Youth Camp, Norma, Jonnie, Mom, Aunt Becca, and I all piled into Uncle Stephen's black car, (which is a ford, and I hate driving it) to go to youth camp.  We got there...around three I think, and Norma, Jonnie and I all went to register.
No sooner were we registered but I had two offers from people to bunk with them.
One from Amaris, and one from Katie, my friend from last year (and this year too of course.)  Oh yeah, and Amaris is my second cousin.  She's my mom's cousin.  So, yeah.
I ended up bunking with Amaris (who is a blanket hog by the way!  But she's my cousin, so I love her anyway, and she got a lil better with sharing the blanket later in the week)
Then, I was walking back to the dorm when I saw a semi familiar figure, with another semi familiar figure.
It was BRIDGET!  And ARKISTA!
Okay, like seriously, they are some of the coolest people in the world!  I mean really, Arkista is so awesome that she drew a mustache on her finger, and a beard on her other finger, and then held them up to her face like people do with non drawn on fingers.  It was pretty cool.  Now, I would post the picture of her, but, I don't know if she would have a complaint to me posting pictures of her on my blog, which is open, and everyone can see.  So...I won't post pictures of her.  Or anyone without their permission.
But I can post the link to the pictures on facebook!  I sure hope y'all have access to facebook, otherwise it won't let you see them.
Ochelata Youth Camp Pictures
I'm in the very first picture!  And somewhere in a few of those pictures is Justice.  More on him later ;)
Okay, so some key moments that really stood out in different segments.
Sports: A certain guy (not saying his name) was playing our team (well, his whole team was) and we were playing softball.  My favorite of the Youth Camp sports.  And he got really into the game.  And I mean really into it!  The first thing I know is that one of our people is running to first...and the next thing I know is the firstbaseman has on electric blue shorts under his pants...YUP!  You guessed it..his pants split.  I wasn't sure if I should laugh, or be shocked, or be embarrased for him.  I ended up being a bit of all three.  I chuckled nervously, stared at everyone in shock, and turned semi red.
Lunch Line: Hmm, there's two very memorable lunch line times...Okay we'll start with...I think it was lunch, on Friday.  Arkista, Bridget and I were all in line together, (Oh yeah, I went and found her, because I wanted food fast, and my team had had pots and pans #1) and Arkista had drawn a face on her hand.  You know how you do that thing where your whole fist is like a head, and you use your thumb as the mouth?  Well, she drew his face, and named him.  When I got in line his name was Pierre the Love Bug, and he was trying to kiss Bridget.  And then he went after me.  He got named Matt, (one of the sponsors there) and even once Bridget!
The second time...Again, it was Friday, this time it was Supper.  I was in line with Justice, and I stuck my horsie hat on his head.  Goodness that guy has a big head!  Either that or I have a small one, because I had to loosen up my hat a ton to get it to fit on his head, and then I had to tighten it a ton to get it to fit back on mine.  Yeah, I just remember that one as one of the best.
Wait, there's one more.  It was...Wednesday, or Thursday, and I think it was lunch.  I was on my way, almost there to the food part, when I was next to the window of the dishwashing place, one of the members of the team there came up to the window, and held out his hand, and told me his name.  Justice.
Okay, all my meals that I remember a lot were on Friday.
Breakfast: I was serving, well, my whole team, and Bridget's whole team were serving, and I was serving the cinnamon rolls.  Yes I remember what I was serving.  Justice was the first in line, followed by Tatertot (which leads me to wonder if they had pots and pans#2?  They were on the same team, and Pots and pans #2 people have to eat first.) and then after serving, I finally got to eat! YAY!  But the only problem was...I felt really sick to my stomach, and Norma didn't want my food, so I ended up not eating all of it.  Not even the cinnamon roll!
Lunch: Okay, this is the same time when Arikista had her Pierre the love bug who kept trying to kiss Bridget and I.  We finally got out of the line, and there's Justice wandering around, I think he was looking for someone?  And before in the lunch line I had mentioned to Bridget that I kinda wanted to sit with him.  Sooo...Bridget sees him...and says, "Hey, go sit back down, she actually wanted to sit with you!"  I nearly kicked her, but didn't squeal, "BRIIIIIIIDGEEET!!!!!!!" like I'd wanted to.  Then he ended up following us to our seats and sitting next to me.  And Bridget tried to make me eat whatever the green desert thing was.  It kinda creeped me out.  It was sooo green.  Like..not food color green.  I didn't want to eat it.  She put a little bit on my spoon, and tried to make me eat it.  In the end I think that Justice ate it.
Supper: Again, Friday, the last day... So, we ate our food, and Tatertot comes up and starts talking about the storm outside, and people getting killed in the rain, and all that, which kind of terrified me, because there was a really strong wind, and everyone thought that there was a tornado coming.  I had lemonade.  I think.  I rarely took the lemonade, I preferred the sweet tea.  Anyway, after I got done eating I was sleepy (actually I was sleepy while I was eating) so I used Justice as a pillow.  He's a real sweetie.
Now, I could go on about this forever, but I'd better go.

YOUTH CAMP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Yes I know the title to my post is grammatically incorrect, but you all should know that I don't really care.  I'M SO EXCITED!  Yes I know that that was grammatically incorrect too!
Okay so here's a list of things I want to talk about in this post.  Not necessarily in order.
1. Youth Camp.
2. Church tonight.
3. Youth Camp.
4. Lizzie McGuire.
5. Youth Camp.
6. The 4th of July.
7. Youth Camp.
8. Anything else that comes to mind.
9. Youth Camp.
Okay, we'll start with the 4th of July (then Youth Camp!) So, I had a pretty good Fourth.  I got "kidnapped" by my friend Ronda.  She's somewhere in her fifties, (which I find weird, because she doesn't seem that old at ALL) and can drive to my house, kidnap me, and take me to her house/town.  See, she lives a town over from me, and while I can drive, I can't drive that far, and not by myself.
Well anyway, she kidnapped me and took me to her house, and we stayed there.  I ate, tomatoes, lemonade, hamburgers, and...something else, but I--BROCCOLI!  And broccoli with cheese ^_^  It was some goooooood food.
And then we went to watch the fireworks which didn't go off till 9:45, and there was this really big hill.  Like HUUUUUGE!  Not huge huge, but huge!  See, we were sitting at the top of the hill, and I decided to roll down it once or twice.  Or three or four times?  Okay, okay, okay, I admit it!  About 25-50 times???
It was really fun!  And guess what!!!  I was the only one rolling down the hill!  The only one!  And there were kids there younger than me!  Yes I know that I'm 14, but that's normal-ish behavior for me.  Ish.
All in all that was an awesome way to spend my 4th.  And I'm really glad that I have freedom here.  And as immature as it may sound, I am so glad that I have the freedom to roll down hills, and act, "immature." YAY FOR FREEDOM, AND MAY GOD BLESS AMERICA FOREVER!
Next we'll do talk about church tonight!
Okay, so we had a really special treat tonight at church!  See normally it's just Pastor Chad's boooorrrring preaching.  I'M KIDDING!  I LOVE Pastor Chad's preaching!  He's one of the best preachers I've ever heard.  Anyway, normally it's just Pastor Chad's preaching, but today we had the awesome treat of some singers from Penn View coming!
Now I know what you're thinking, "Penn View?  What is this 'Penn View?'"  Well, to answer your question, Penn View is a Bible college in PA.  They have singers in the college, in different groups, and today we had a group call Proclaim come to our church.  IT WAS AWESOME!
Here's a link so you know I'm not just blowing steam.
Penn View
Now, as you can see they have various people in the group.  Well, I made a new friend! OH!  And various Bible Colleges go to Youth Camp too, and...THEY'RE GOING!
My new friend is Andrew, the one listed there.  I also have a cousin named Andrew...  Okay, so anyway, here's how I met met Andrew, and not just saw him, and figured out who he was and decided to call him my friend.
See, sometimes I go to the church, and play the piano there.  My mom and I have a big hymnal at home, but it will never stay open, but the one at the church will, and the piano is more in tune.  That's why I go.
So anyway, I'm there, playing piano, then around 4:30-5:00 Penn View people started showing up.
There's Joe Stratton who was traveling with him.  And he was also the Teen Issues speaker personal at Youth Camp last year, and he came in first.
Then it was...William I think...Then it was Andrew who said it was hot outside and perfect inside.
I told him that I begged to differ, but I was freezing in the church...he proceeded to laugh... Oh yeah, and I wasn't speaking in such wonderful prose and poetry, and all that stuff, I was just talking normally, like, "Are you serious?  I'm freezing in here!  My toes are cold!"  Yes I know, I'm so immature!
Anyway, they went back and forth carrying stuff from their van, and wouldn't let me help, even though I wanted to and offered, because now that there were in there I was going to more than likely have to give up the piano, and quite honestly I get really nervous playing piano in front of people.  My hands shake, my feet shake, my hands get all sweaty.  Oh yes yes yes...I have stage fright!
ANYWAY!  He was up there testing the mics, and I think he was purposely acting goofy to make me laugh, and it worked.  I think I laugh easily, unless I hate you, and in that case every word you say is evil, wicked, and NOT funny in the least!  Be glad I like you guys ;)
Then while the others were singing and stuff, (I don't think he sung once, he played his instrument, and that's it.  I think it was a French Horn.) he came and sat by me, and said hi, told me his name, asked me mine, what grade I was in, how old I was, if I was going to any camps.
Silly me forgot to ask him how old he was/is.  I'll ask him tomorrow or something.
Anyway, I really like him, he's pretty awesome, and I kinda hope we're on the same team at Youth Camp.
Anyway, in short, I have an awesome new friend, and I loved the service at church tonight.  ONE complaint...It ended, and Andrew didn't sing...
Next up on the list to talk about...
LIZZIE MCGUIRE!  It's my new fad thingymabobber.  I've had it before, but I have it again.  Anyway, here's the link to an episode.
Lizzie McGuire Part One
Okay, that was short o.O
Now for anything else that comes to my mind.
The Butterfly Challenge.
The Butterfly Challenge is when a person who has problems with cutting and stuff draws a butterfly on themselves and names it after someone that they love, when they have the urge to cut.  If they cut the butterfly dies.
People who don't cut can also draw butterflies on their arms, or legs, or wherever, and name it after someone they love who is going through a hard time.  I've done that.
It was...Thursday or Friday when my friend told me about it.  It's kind of interesting.
And now we're on to Youth Camp!
So, Youth Camp starts TOMORROW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I'm so excited!
A whole week (five days) of people, church services, singing, boys, games, fun, and eek!
Here's the pros and cons of Youth Camp.
Pros: Meet new friends, meet up with old Youth Camp friends, church services, games, fun night, singing, crazy fun in the dorm.
Cons: Missing my mom, no internet and internet friends, no friends who aren't going to Youth Camp, no pets.
I'm so excited!  I hope that Karen, Katie, Andrew and I are all on the same team, but we might not be.  Hopefully Andrew and I anyway.  Cause that'd be awesome.  I want to get to know my new friend better, and make new friends, and have awesome friends, and I love friends.
I'm going to take my camera and get some pictures, and share them on here.  I hope I make good friends, that I'll be able to keep for a life time.
I cannot wait!
Back to whatever my mind comes up with:
My mom and I were twins at church today!  See we have these shirts that match.  They're red shirts, with black pattern on them, and she got one, and I got one, and then we match today.  I'm gonna miss my mommy when I'm at Youth Camp...
And also I fishtail braided my hair!
Fully body picture, courtesy of my loving mommy, who took the picture.  I personally think I look weird in it.  Then again, I'm not very photogenic...And I don't think I'm supposed to look deep into the lens like I would look deep into my husband's eyes if I was married to him.  But I'm not married to my husband yet.  As far as I know I haven't even met him!

The braid...up close and semi personal.  though how you can be personal with a braid I have no idea!
And back we go to the butterfly challenge topic!  Here's a picture of a butterfly I drew for my friend, who's having some problems with that.
I took a picture to send to her, but I figured I could do this too.  Just to give you an example if you're thinking that you may need to do this or something.
You can really draw it anywhere.  Legs, ankles, wrists, anywhere really.
I have a very faded one on my wrist.
And back to Youth Camp...  I'm gonna have to pack last minute stuff tomorrow morning.
Here's my itinerary for tomorrow (I think.)
Wake up.
Pack a few things.
Mow the backyard.
Take a shower.
Pack anything else I need.
Go to Grammy's to meet up with Aunt Becca.
Go to Youth Camp.
Check in.
Find a room.
Do Youth Camp stuff.
Sounds kinda busy.  I hope I don't get too stressed out or cry while mowing.
If I'm stressed and just woke up I will cry when told to do something.  I have no idea why, it's just like I'm too tired to comprehend what I'm supposed to do, and I can't do it right.
I will seriously be about to cry if that happens.  I feel like such a baby sometimes.  But hey, at least I admitted to doing it!
Once I knew a lady older than me who still wet the bed.  I think she had bladder problems.  Poor lady :(
Um...I was going to say something but my mind went wacko and forgot....
The main point is that I need to get my puppy packed, and my Bible packed.  Oh yeah, and my camera, and phone, and phone charger.
And here's more stuff about Youth Camp.
I have a youth camp notebook, where I can write down when I meet my team leaders, and my team members, and the first impression I had of them.
I heard somewhere that one of the team leaders are real big on scripture memorization, and like hound you about it.  I think that that would be awful, and a great way to make kids who have trouble memorizing, or spitting stuff back out at people not want to go back.
Thankfully I'm fairly good at memorizing, and can sometimes spit stuff back out.
Alright, I'm almost incoherent.  I will finish my Lizzie McGuire Episode, have my devotions, and go to bed.
PEACE!

9 More Days!

Oh my goodness!  I can't wait!
Nine more days till Youth Camp!
Okay that was about all I wanted to say...
So yeah

BAD NEWS!

People!  I have horrible news!  You know my camera?  Well...I think it's dead.  It got rootbeer spilled on it at Silver Dollar City, so it might just be stuck together, but still!  My pour camera :'(  And now all I have to take any pictures with is my webcam, which I can't take everywhere, and I can't take pictures of Maggie's little baby with it, and honestly, the pictures aren't that good of quality.
Oh yes, I can see you all tilting your heads in confusion.  "Maggie?"  You say.  "Who is this, "Maggie"?"
And I answer you this...  Maggie is a horsie.  She's a paint horse who lives with two brown horses that I think are quarter horses, named Sage, and Stormy, and she just had the cutest ever little colt!  A colt is a male baby horse, please remember that it's not both a male and a female.  The female is a filly, and both is a foal.
He's like a light brown, and he's got a strip of white down his head.  Just adorable.  And now some of you are probably thinking, "Now, how does she know these horses so well?  Does she own them?  What is the name of this new baby horse, that is suposably a male?"
The answers to these questions is, they live very close to me, and are the closest to me owning horses as I will probably ever get, so no, I do not own them.  I don't know the name of the new baby, but if I was naming it I would name it Salty, short for Salt Water Taffy, because that's what he reminds me of.
And if you're wondering how I know so much about horses in general, you can thank, or blame, my great sized intake of books, and numerous horse information look ups.
From Phantom Stallion, and Phantom Stallion Wild Horse Island I have learned that you never stand directly behind a horse.  From an educational book I learned that you don't do that because that is one of the horse's few blind spots, so he can't see you, and may kick you accidently, or he may get scared and kick you on purpose.
From a riding club that I get to hang out with once a year I learned that when you groom a horse you are always careful to brush in the same direction of a horses hair, and that you always make sure that you get any little pieces of dirt stuck in it's hair out before saddling up, because if you don't then the dirt can really irritate them!
Now, I'll stop on my horse tirade...
Okay, no not quite yet... I wish I could have a horse of my own to ride, or live near a riding school where I could at least take riding lessons, but sadly I don't and can only ride once a year at Farm Heritage Days.
Okay, now I'm done!
But now for something just as bad if not worse!  I can just see you guys going, "Uhoh, what's she gonna start off on now?  Will it still be educational?  Will it be stupid? AHH!"
Well, guess what.  No, it's not really educational, it's more or less an excited "OH MY WORD I CAN'T BELIEVE THAT YOUTH CAMP IS NEARLY HERE!" rant.
Because, I seriously can't believe it!  I'm so excited!
It's like eleven days away!  ELEVEN!
I wonder what it will be like this year.
Here, I'll give you a breif summary of the people on my team last year.
There was my team sponsors Tony, and Sheryl, and I really started liking Tony because he gave me Mountain Dew!  And then I liked Sheryl, because she howled like a wolf when the other girls and I hit the really high not in Oh Where is My Hairbrush!
Now for the boys:
Big Mark, big Mark had really hairy arms, so salt on arm, and ice on salt didn't hurt his arm.  And once when I was looking for the other Katie (we had two Katies on my team) and I asked, him "Mark, where's Katie?!" he points at me, and says, "Right there!"
Little Mark, little Mark is awesome!  His last name kinda makes me think about pickles, but he's awesome no matter what, and once we were looking for Big Mark, so we found Little Mark (well he found us) and we go, "Mark, where's Mark?!" and he laughed.
Brett, Eh, we didn't really hang out too much, but I know he's my age.
Nathan.  He's the guy who sang that song that I shared a while back!  Isn't he awesome!  Although he was quite the joker....Oh yes, of course the only reason I want Skander Keynes to be a Christian is so I can marry him!  Well, yes, of course he's cute, but...no...just...no...  Also when Katie, Karen and I were singing The Hairbrush Song he shoved a pot at us and told us to dry...
And Tyrel, he's pretty cute, and he has brown eyes.  Okay actually, all the guys in my team were cute.  Couldn't help but notice, after all, I am a teen girl!  One time I walked in the kitchen cause we were supposed to do dishes, and some ice fell into the ice maker, and he goes, "It's okay, it's just ice!"  Cause I jumped.
Now for the girls!
Marissa.  I didn't really like her too much, but hey, she's human too, so, yeah.  She just struck me as the bossy I know it all type.  Not opinionated, cause I'm opinionated, and I don't get upset at people for missing a ball that was flying toward them in the infield...
Jessica.  I didn't really know her too well, but she's pretty, and has really curly hair, and I almost killed her with a knife while we were doing dishes.
Karen. I LOVE KAREN!  Karen is one of my best friends.  I knew her way before youth camp.  She's sweet, and funny, and awesome, and crazy, and hyper, and still human.  And I love her <3  Karen, if you're reading this, you're awesome and I love you.
Katie.  Oh yes, the other Katie!  She's awesome!  And he second day, when we were all getting to know each other, her, Karen, and I were washing dishes and we started singing Love Story by Taylor Swift.  Aren't we awesome?  Her and I were almost inseperable the whole week!
And then there's me, but y'all know me so I needn't describe me!
Now the brief summary of our teachers/preachers.
Brother Avery was the main speaker, and he preached to everyone, and there were two times when he sent all the 9-12 year olds out and preached just to the teens about tough issues.  And honestly we needed to hear them.
The Joe Stratton was the one who did the Teen Life Issues!  He showed us all sorts of things about not being a kidult, and about gay people, and music, and all that awesome stuff.
I seriously had fun!
Then we also had choir, but I don't remember the name of the director, I just know he was awesome and taught us how to sing.
You know what I really don't get though?  There's this one girl, and she always gets singing parts, and solos, and get this...her voice is always nasally!  Now yes, her family is pretty popular in the church, because they do a lot of the work, and are elders and deacons and stuff like that, so what?  People should get picked to sing because they can sing.  Not because their parents are way up in the church.  It's stupid!
Now, if she'd already been picked to sing a song, and then she got a cold that made her sound like that then I'd understand it, but seriously?
Okay, off my mini rant.
No, that wasn't a normal sized long rant, that was a mini rant.
Okay, now I have like...26 more minutes on the computer, so I'd better get goin.  And yup, when I get off of here, I'm probably gonna start doing some packing.  Not too much, but some.
I LOVE YOUTH CAMP!!!
Okay, la vi!
~Katie :)
Wait...what's la vi mean anyway?

Bruhaha!

Okay, have I ever told anyone that I'm so excited for Youth Camp???  I cannot wait!  But alas I have to wait 12 more days!
Have you ever heard of such cruel torture???
Okay, so yesterday was pretty awesome, I mowed Grammy and Grampy's yard, and then Papa took me driving (Papa and Grampy are the same person) but he took me in Uncle Stephen's car, which I really don't like.
It's too loose.  The Jeep is so much nicer to drive, even if it doesn't have an a/c.  The Jeep you have to push a lil harder, but the car...it turns too loosely, the pedals go down so much loser.  I just really don't like it.
Anyway, done with my rant on Jeep vrs. Car.
Well, it's almost my curfew, soooo, g'nigh everyone!
~Katie :)

Confound it All!

Don't ask about the title I really don't know, but there's hardly any good titles for my blogposts, other than, "Hi," "hey," "Hello Again," stuff like that!
Anyway...Yep, my mind is still on Youth Camp.  I don't think my mind will ever leave Youth Camp.
So, in this whole excited, I can't wait for Youth Camp rush, I'm trying to learn new hairdos!  So far I have learned: The Four Strand Woven Braid (Four Strand Woven Braid Tutorial) Five Strand Messy Braid, (Cute Girl's Hairstyles) French Braid, (French Braid) and well, there's a few that I've come up with, but anyway, yeah, I really think I like this whole hairstyle thing.  As long as I have 5 different hairstyles I think I'll be good.  I say five, that way I can wear my hair in a ponytail, or normal braid for the games, and activities, and then for church I can wear it in something a little more fancy.  I don't know.
If you guys/girls/random people out there have any hairstyle ideas, just let me know in the comments, because I have discovered that I love to do my hair.
Anyway, I should leave before I start boring you all with camp this, camp that, camp camp camp!

Nickle Nickle Eat-a Pickle?

Okay, so I don't know if everyone is like this, but me, I go through these phases where I watch/listen to almost nothing but a certain TV or radio show.
My new phase is......VEGGIE TALES!
Rack, Shack and Benny
^that is a episode from it.
I love Silly Songs with Larry!  Larrry is for sure my favorite!
Alright, so now that we've covered the fact that I have phases, and that Nickle Nickle Eat-a Pickle? is my title for this post, I am going to move on to my new favorite topic.
Not counting today, or the day it starts, Youth Camp is...NINETEEN DAYS AWAY!!!
I'm soooo happy!  I even have need to do, and need to pack lists already drawn out!
Here they are!!!
To Pack:
Box fan
Unmentionables
Church Sandals
Play Sandals
Five T-Shirts
Three Denim Skirts (I keep trying to type that as demin!)
Three Church Outfits

Toliet-Trees
Two Bottles of Mountain Dew
Mesh Laundry Bag
Sabin (My stuffed puppy)
Blankets
Pillow(s)
Piano Books

Phone (my camp is one of the few camps where we're allowed to have cell phones)

Youth Camp Notebook
That's all that I need to pack.  And here's what I need to DO:
Buy Box Fan (Check!)
Buy Chapstick (Check!)
Sew together Hair Stuff bag
Buy Pencil Sharpener (Check! and it has an eraser along with it!!!)
Buy Minutes Card (Check! And it's for my stinkin' tracfone)
Wash my Backpack.
There we goooo.  That's my lists!
Oooh, I should make a list of Bible verses that I want to say for my verses.  What do you think?  I think yes.  But first....I'm going to decorate my notebook with my glitter paint.
Pictures of some stuff will be coming later on in the post ;)
I am so excited for Youth Camp!!!
Here's the link to the Youth Camp website, that I don't remember if I've posted or not.
Ochelata Youth Camp
I love Youth Camp.
Okay, it's later...
Me modeling my new sunglasses that I just bought yesterday.
I decorated them.  With glitter paint that I also got yesterday!
This is Sabin, but stuffed puppy.  Yes I still snuggle with him.
Sabin again.  And yes, that is my blog in the background!
That is the thingy of my eraser.
My eraser is still in the package.
GLITTER PAINT!!!  EET'S SO SHIIIIIINEEEEEYYYYYYY!
Okay, so I googled, Ochelata Youth Camp, and I found this!
I Don't Want Youth Camp To End
That guy was on my team last year!  I'm pretty sure that he was, and if he wasn't then someone with the exact same name!
And he sang last year too!
And he was either 19, or 18 then, and that was three years ago, so he was close to my age then!
Is this cool or what???  I FOUND THE SONG OF SOMEONE I KNOW FROM YOUTH CAMP ON YOUTUBE!
This is making me think about singing my song at Youth Camp.  I did post here did I not?
He Loves Me Anyway?
God'll surely have to give me strength if he wants me to do that though.  I get nervous and terrified to sing in front of people.  Singing my own song, without accompaniment, in front of hundreds of people, will be nervewracking!  I'll die!
I better start making out a will then huh?  Haha, I'm kidding, I think I could do it.  I'd just be shaking really bad throughout the whole thing.  Like...really bad.  So far I've never fainted, but I might, you never know.  I just hope I don't stop breathing...
Goodness gracious!  Why aren't I sleepy in the least?!  It's 1:32!!!  AM!!!!!!!!!!!
I guess I'm not tired because I still have work to do.  I gotta take a shower, and do devotions, and go to bed.  In that order.  But I'm also gonna be doing stuff in between that, soo, yeah.
Gah, I hate stinkin' cravings.  I'm craving Jalapeno Cheetos, Tropical Snos....a lot of food that we don't have...
OH!  I saw the cutest thing while I was mowing today!
I was mowing, and then I saw this little thing running on the side of the road.  At first I thought it was a mouse, but it didn't look quite like it, plus it was running too slow.  The chase was on.  I chased it on the road, then to the side of the yard, then further into the yard.
Then Mom comes out and says, "What are you catching?"
And I tell her, "I'm not sure, but it's not a mouse."  And then she helps me catch it!  I held it for a little bit, but then it jumped out of my hand, and ran far far away, and I wasn't able to catch it.
I'm pretty sure it was a shrew!
It looked like this:
Ain't it cuuuute?  I had to find it on the internet, but I would really have taken pictures if I could have!
EET'S SOOO CUUUUTE!
Alright, well, I'm off to finish VeggieTales, then off to bed I head.  somewhat, I gotta take a shower first.  And I might keep the computer on all night, and listen to the dramatized version of the Bible on Biblegateway.
G'moright!

Madam Moo Moo Goes Woo Hoo?

Yeah, about that title I have no idea.  I'm thinking I might just make a short humor story with some sort of animal that...um, is named Madam Moo Moo, and she's married to Mr. Rwar...and yeah, a Cow and a Lion are married...  Um, and their child is Miss Quackerz.  Yes.  Perfect.  And Madam Moo Moo lives on a farm, and Mr. Rawr lives in a zoo, and they have a forbidden love, which means MMM has to sneak out of her cattle stall every night to go visit her husband in the lion pen, however, the lion pen is full of other ferocious lions who think that cows are food, so Mr. Rawr has to jump on the top, and encourage MMM to try to jump over the moon, like the cow in Hay Diddle Diddle.
So yeah, um, anyway...
YOUTH CAMP IN LIKE...THREE WEEKS!
I'm pretty sure it starts on the 9th of July.  See, then it would be soooo awesome, I'm bound to meet a ton of different people, probably a bunch of cute boys.
Okay, see, there's cute boys, and there's church boys, and when you have cute church boys you know that everything is awesome.  Mhm.  Cute boys are awesome, church boys are better, but a combination of the two...  *sighs dreamily*
Huh what???  Oh yeah, sorry, thinking about cute church boys, which really abound at that camp. And no, I'm not just going for the guys.  I'm going because it's utterly awesome, and my cousin Norma is going, and there's Softball.  SOFTBALL! I like Softball!  It's awesome fun!  Volleyball on the other hand...  Gah.  I hate that game, all it ends up with is me having bent over fingers :'(
See, last time I went, (first time I went too) we checked in, then went to the girls dorm, and got me settled in with Karen.  We were sharing a room.  I don't think we're doing that this year though.  I'll prolly have my own room.  Oh well, I don't think she would want me squished up against her anyway, which if I had trouble sleeping I would end up scooting over next to her.
I sleep better when I'm snuggling with someone.  My mom is just the opposite though.  She sleeps better with a cat, and that's it.  But I always end up snuggling with her because I can't sleep, or because I'm too cold, (thankfully not now!) or because I had too much energy juice, otherwise known as Mountain Dew.
Oh, speaking of Youth Camp, I drank about a can of Mountain Dew per day.  I'm not sure I'll be able to do that this year.
As of now I don't even have 30 dollars to my name.  I still need to get a minutes card, and a few other things for my trip to camp.
A minutes card because I need to text my mom to let her know how I am, that I'm getting up at 7AM, going to bed at 12AM, and not being able to sleep at 1AM.  Why's she up that late anyway?!
Okay, so yeah YOUTH CAMP AWAITS!
Today I went to WalMart near here, about 45 minutes, which is a lot further away than the one in the town a lil closer, (see if I name any names you stalkers will pinpoint my whereabouts, stalk me, and then skin me for supper, and I really don't think my Mom would like that, especially when I'm not even really allowed out by myself after 10PM, and if you did all that I wouldn't be back by then.) to see my cousins, (Jaylee, and Prince Charming (Justin) and Aunt Melody, she's awesome ya know?  Okay, no you don't know, because you've never met my family, unless you're in my family or knows us in real life, but if you're just someone on the internet who I've never met in rl yet, then you haven't met my family, unless you met them, and I didn't know that.
Anyway, we were at that WalMart, and Mom and I decided to do some shopping, because we needed to go shopping anyway.  At least for some things.
Well, Mom told me to wait till Monday for a phone card, and then we were walking through the crafts section, and I found something awesome!  PRECUT CLOTH!  Awesome or what?
This cloth ^ is to be used for a handmade cloth flower.  I'll get y'all the link another time if I remember it.
This is to be part of a hair thingy's bag for camp!
The other part for the bag.  Which I'm going to make myself.  See, this part is going to be used for the outside, I think, and the other part is going to be used for the inside, and the normal orange will be used for a pocket on the outside, and this printed stuff will be for a little pocket inside.  Awesome right?
This is what they both look like together.  Trust me though, they look a lot nicer in real life, I don't know what was up with my camera.  I guess it just decided to go wacko on me.  This reminds me, I should see if I could take my camera--or rather the camera, even though I use it more--to Youth Camp.
Okay, remember those flowers I was talking about?  Tada!  I made one from scrap cloth.  Once more, I'll get you the link to the pattern another time.  I would try to help you figure it out yourself, but, well....I stink at teaching people stuff unless I can just show them.  I also learn better if I'm shown.  Like, pictures, or videos, or something like that.
And this is the cloth I bought just for the flower.  My mom already had plenty of buttons, so I didn't worry about buying any of them.
While at WalMart I found a notebook.  I love notebooks.  I mean seriously, give me notebooks, trinket boxes, and pets, and I will love you forever.  If any of these things have anything to do with horses or cats I will love you ever longer.  I also like brown.  But I don't like pink.
But alas my poor notebook.  I placed it on top of Serenity's cage (bunny, remember?) and she nibbled it!  She nibbled the binding.  Now I am so sad.  And somewhat mad at her.  She is so lucky that I love her.
Anyway, after stopping at WalMart, eating at Subway, and having an awesome time with my awesome family, we went to Grammy and Grampy's.  Awesome place.
Then best of all.....wait for it....wait for it........wait a little longer...........
PAPA TOOK ME DRIVING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
He took me to the builders supply, which also has dog food, and then to Casey's so we could get some gas to fill up the Jeep, and then we went driving all over town, so I could practice turning, then we went to the Lake, so I could practice staying between two lines.
I'm not sure, but I think I'm getting the hang of it.  Why, I didn't even run over a mail box!  And there were several for the hitting, so yeah.  I'm getting the hang of it.  I think I should work on parking between two lines though, I kinda stink at that.
Well, um, I'm so sleepy I can't tell a badger from a honey stick.  Um, well no, I'm kidding, I'm not that tired...I'm just a little bit *yawwwwwwwwwwnnnn* sleepyish.
Yeah.
So.
Um.
Yeah....
I..
Think.
It's.
Time.
For.
Me.
To.
Go.
To.
My.
Bed.
Oh wait, I'm already in bed!
It's.
Time.
For.
Me.
To.
Lie.
Down.
And.
Go.
To.
Sleep.
Night night fair citizens of the realm!

Can You Homeschool Legaly?

I have discovered that it is very very fun to have riddling contests. I don't think that the best part is being ahead, but trying to figure the riddles out, and find more riddles to give to your opponent!
I also think it's fun to have guy friends. If I wasn't so shy around them, I think I would have more. I do have a few though, and one of them I am having a riddling contest with!
Here's a few riddles for you to solve, I will answer them either at the end of this post, or in the next one.

1. What belongs to you, but is used by others the most?

2. The more you take from me the bigger I get, what am I?

3.Alive without breath, cold as death, never thirsting, ever drinking, garbed in armor never clinking, what am I?

4. I have one eye that cannot blink. I can fix man cloth and animal, what am I?

That's all the riddles for now.
Think about them while I continue my tirade.
There's a really good song, called the homeschool song, it goes to the tune of "The Twelve Days Of Christmas," and here's the first verse, I will post a verse with every post I post while posting a post... I just lost myself, but oh well!
Here's the first verse...
"On the first day of Homeschool, my neighbor said to me, "Can you homeschool legally?""
There are thirteen verses in all.
I met a girl named Bridget at camp, and I taught it to her. We also did a Congo line, and we sang it while doing the Congo line. It was fun!
It drove my other friend Katie crazy.
And here's another song that we sang at camp, it is a veggie tales song, and you should look it up on YouTube! It's called the hairbrush song.
When we hit the high note our sponsors wife howled, and Mark sprayed her with the sprayer in the kitchen. I think I already said that.
Sittin' here listening to "Never Grow Up" having a rather odd Internet chase with my "brother", having a riddling contest with my other friend, drinking milk, and blogging is rather fun.
NO GO BACK TO NEVER GROW UP! There that's better... Yes play it loud and sing along. Good, that's good. Calm down Katie...
I stepped on a kitty earlier, and I huwt his paw, I was sad, but the kitty is okay now!
Well, I am getting ready to work on an original, and then, I am going to look up more riddles, play my computer games, then, take a shower, and go to bed.
So I am going to leave you here with four answers to four riddles

1. Your name silly!

2. A whole in the ground!

3. A fish! (don't be upset if you didn't get it, I thought it was a sea serpent)

4. A needle!

And now, signing off from some planet in outer space, KATIE THE MARPIAN!

Post the Second

Alrighty! Here I am once more! I am going to tell you a lil more about myself now, then more about camp!
I like to think of myself as a Tomboy. I like Chevy trucks, don't care too much for the cars, or Fords that much either... After all Ford means, Found On Road Dead. Or backwards, Drivers Return On Foot...
I normally wear my hair in a ponytail, and normally wear denim skirts, and my shoe clothes, is primarily, boy's sandals, cowboy boots, and one pair of flat church sandals. Well I also have roller blades...
On to camp...
It was hot, however it rained... Tuesday? It really cooled down.
The teen girls dorm (where I stayed) was NOT air conditioned. I was actually okay with that, but I was not okay with feeling like I was gonna pass out in the Softball field.
The speaker at camp was Bro. Avery. And the Teen Life Issues was Joe Stratton. He told us allot about what's going on in our world, and how to deal with it. There was also a funny, yet accurate definition for teenagers.
Did you know that the term "teenager" was first used in 1951? At least I think it was then. Sometime around there. Before that you were either a child or an adult.
And there was a TWELVE YEAR OLD who was the captain of a captured ship, and he was gonna shot the old captain at sight if he came on deck. Drastic huh? Well, the old captain wanted to shoot him, so yeah, I can see where he was coming from.
I hurt my finger with a volleyball hitting it, but I think I set it to Mark, who was able to spike it over... I think...
Someone said he thought I was FIFTEEN! I am only 13, but I think I took it as a compliment. I don't know why I said think, perhaps because I'm strange?
Fun night, was, well, fun...?
We had pop, some of us had pizza, there were games, songs, laughter, skits, and then when Pastor Chad had all the teen girls line up and go to the dorm, the look on his face was SO funny when one of the girls (help I forgot her name!) told him that we didn't have our purses! However, I didn't have a purse, just my Bible. While I own allot of purses, I hardly ever use them. I use backpacks. They hold more. So I can take all my notebooks, and um, other things that I might need.
Well, I THINK that that's all about camp, other than I enjoyed it!
And now about today!
I woke up, and we went to church (I wore my pwetty copper skirt that matches my hair and the one with sparkly butterflies that are also copper!!!)
Had Sunday School, where we talked more about camp!
It was a good day. My Pastor's sister in law, (who is my age) was there, and her dad runs a Bible college, so the college came and sang for us.. I sang along, even though I shouldn't have. We also, had yummy snacks afterward.
And then I went rollerblading (came back REALLY sweaty) and got on the computer when I came home. But, that's 'bout it...
Wanna know more about me?
Okay, well I like Taylor Swift, don't like Justin Bebier, I like nearly all of Taylor's songs.
I like Narnia, books, and movies! My mom says that I have a rather large imagination, and I believe she's right. After all, I seem to imagine all sorts of things. Such as being eaten by a shark... The shark teeth sinking into your skin, the major pain, the agony, as your leg is ripped off by it's sharp teeth, the blood pouring into the ocean, calling other- sorry, I guess it's true. I can also imagine happier things! Such as fairy land! The sparkling blue buildings, the fairies flying around oh so gracefully, with their silver wings catching the golden sun, their hair glittering in the sun as well. The sweet peaceful music coming from fairy harps. The dancing, singing, and happiness, the water fairies diving into the water as their wings turn to beautiful sparkling rainbow fins, and they begin to breath in the water. The boy fairies, and girl fairies getting married, and having baby fairies (yes they can do that).
Ya see?
Perhaps that's why I'm gonna be an author. I have a few stories on this blog,

www.theflowingpen.blogspot.com

Well, I should sign out.
By the way, I had mountain dew xD
This is Katie, the girl with a last name, that lives in some place in Kansas, signing off!

Post the First

Hello, my fair readers!
I will give you some info about myself then I will tell you about my week.
I am 13, 5'2'', have red hair blue eyes, and sometimes I have frekles. About my personality... I am normally nice, one of my friends says that I'm sweet and easy to love, but if he knew all the evil plots going through my head he might not say that. I am normally shy and quiet unless I get a good vibe about you, or unless I am hyper, or know you. If I am hyper, get a good vibe, or know you, I will be more talkitive and sometimes discribed as annoying, depending on who you are, or what I'm doin'.
I do have a tendency to depression, and when it hits I tend to either hide it, cry it out, or rant. When I rant I normally write a letter to myself, or if given permission to rant to others, rant at/to them.
When I am hyper I will yell random things, get noisy, giggle for no apparent reason, jump up and down, and sing random, sometimes annoying songs.
I am a Christian, a very hyper, random, teenaged Christian.
And now to tell you about my week.
Starting on Monday I went to Youth Camp. My churches Camp. We got there around 4:00 PM, and got my room situated. I was in the teen girls, very un airconditioned dorm. On the West side.
My mommy hadta leave after getting my room ready, and at 4:30 I went with my friend Karen to supper. It was so good that much I know, even though I forgot what we had.
There was a bunch of dogs running around the camp.
At about 7:30 we went to service, where we found out what team we were on, who our sponsers were, and who our team mates were.
My team was T4T, and my sponsers were Tony and Sheryl (to beware of stalkers I shall try not to mention last names) and my team mates were,
Me,
Katie,
Karen,
Marissa,
Jessica,
And I think that's all the girls, and now the guys,
Mark,
Mark,
Brett,
Nathan,
and Tyrel.
Yes there were two Katies, and two Marks. We got a kick out of that. At one point I walked up to one of the Marks, and asked, "Mark, where's Katie?!" And as I am named Katie, Mark pointed at me, and said,
"She's right there!"
And another time when Katie needed to talk to one of the Marks we ran up to the other Mark, and said,
"Mark! Where's Mark?!"
He laughed a lil, and said that he didn't know.
Then our team had devotions where we got to know the other peoples around us.
I learned somethings about the people in my team, and forgot somethings about the people in my team.
Mark (the younger one) had been on that team for the past... five years?
Either Katie or Jessica (I forgot which, I think both) said that they liked to sing, and I said, and these are my very words (If I remember correctly)
"My name is Katie _______, I live in ________ KS, and you should never give me mountain dew unless you want me to be hyper."
I had a fun time.
I failed in Volleyball, but hit a few balls in Softball, got to ride in the back of a truck, sing and play piano (at different times) in a talant show, make new friends, and see cute boys.
I was also driven insane by Katie. I think I will tell you a lil more about some of the people we met.
There was a guy from a Bible college named Christian, and I made friends with him, he's 19, another guy we met was um... I think his real name is Luke, yeah, Luke, but for some reason that I'm still not sure of we now call him "FLUFFA!" or "FLUFFY!" Or even on ocasion, "FLUFFE"
And a guy named Darrell that I really don't know but Katie calls him my sharp object friend.
There was a guy from another Bible college that looked an awful lot like Abraham Lincon.
Katie got it into her head to point out all the guys that she saw.
This is what it sounded like, "Look, Katie, there's Tyrel," Or, "Katie, I see, Mark, and Mark is with Mark!" Sometimes, "I found Abe, and look! Your sharp object friend is right behind him!" She would say, "I found Christian, he's right over there!"
"Look it's Fluffy!" "There's the guy we don't even know named Cody!" *poke poke* "There's Brett I see Brett!" "I see Matthew..." She drove me insane. One of the guys she pointed out, her saying his name made me glad I had a sunburn. And no it wasn't Brett, and I'm not saying who it was, I just felt the need to clarify because her poking me was just because she would sometimes pokes and sometimes not. She would laugh when she said the guy I likes name. And Matthew was just a random guy she knew.
When we had Pots and Pans (we would wash the pots and pans as you can tell...) And Katie, Karen and I were singing The HairBrush song, from veggie tales. I would have more to say, but, this is rather long, and so I shall end it here.
Signing out from a certain area in Kansas, is, Katie, the girl with a last name.
