Differences
So, I've been thinking, and also reading one of my friend's blogs and it just made me think.... It's kind of funny, because we're both so much alike, but our blogging styles are different. Hers is "Through the Eyes of the Narnian Queen," on the side bar of my blog. Her blog, not her style.
But see, our styles are different too. Her style includes posting on her blog once a week (I think,) mine includes posting whenever I do so desire. I often have mini rants and sometimes go into detail about what's happening in my life. She often goes into detail about what's happening in her life, and also does movie reviews. I don't really do movie reviews.
I just kind of thought it was funny. Two people 3-4 years apart in age, yet our blogging is so different. Of course, if you read my blog from 3-4 years ago, my blogging style is different. Maybe it just has to do with age? Who knows. Well, other than God. He knows everything.
And because I forgot to share this earlier: Here is my new song Everything is Changing

So...writing issues.
Not like I'm having any writing problems or anything, it's just that the thing is I have three completed books and another one on the way to being finished....the only problem is that they aren't edited. See, what I need to do is do an author's edit, then I have a friend who said that she would edit them for me, and I trust her. We're doing a thing where we're going to edit each other's stories. So hopefully that will work out.
Of course after the books are completely done, I still need a name for one of them and cover-art for all of them. And then after all that is done and they're published, how in the world am I supposed to get people to buy them? I have no idea!
The Unnamed Legend hasn't sold very well, and it really stinks. I don't have all these people who would just die to be sharing it everywhere for people to buy it. I also don't have all these people who would just die to buy it. Plus a lot of the people who would love to buy it are broke. See my problem?
It's just super discouraging to have written something and be so proud of it, especially when you wrote it at age 13 and edited it at age 14 and got it published at age 15, and no one seems to appreciate it. I know, I know, stupid, but that's how stuff feels. I think I've sold 10 at the most. Yeah, that's not very much. Anyway, frustrated rant over. Goodbye.

Wow
Dude, so it's almost Christmas....and so to not exactly prepare for Christmas, I wrote a not exactly Christmas story that I published way before Christmas....It's on Wattpad, fanfiction.net, and The Flowing Pen....I feel...wow. Very published. Anyway, here are the links to my story. It's a Peter Pan fanfiction. I'm sorry if you hate Peter Pan.

Story Time!
Short story that I just finished:
I stood face to face with 'it.' It was not me. It couldn't be me! I was standing right here! In front of...it. It looked at shocked as me.
"Who are you?" It asked.
"Katie." I heard my voice rise and crack. "Who are you?"
"K-Katie...." Its voice was identical to mine.
"How old are you?"
"Fifteen...." It looked me up and down. "How old are YOU?"
"Sixteen." So it wasn't me. Well...it was...but it wasn't. I looked it up and down from the very top of its head, which was he same copper shade as mine, to its feet, which, as usual, were bare. It was wearing the shirt I got on top of Pike's Peak that boasted, 'It's illegal to get this high in most states!" Her blue eyes and slightly flushed face made me feel like I was looking in a mirror and I wondered if it felt the same.
Finally, it spoke again. "Are you me?"
"I don't know...are you me?"
"I don't know. Do you like cats?"
"Yeah. Do you?"
"Yeah...."
"Do you know what the word 'acrophobia' means?"
"Yeah...it's a morbid fear of heights."
We stood there, staring at each other. Neither one of us knowing what to say or do. Would this change anything in the fabric of time? Us meeting like this? Finally, I cleared my throat,
"So, were you homeschooled 'til the start of your Freshman year of highschool?"
Her face lit up like mine had done when I was in her place. "Yes! But don't ask which I prefer, because I like both or them and I don't think I could chose between them."
"I know. I think I'm you. And it's weird."
"It IS weird." She shivered. "So, you know where you are, right? If you're...you know...from the future."
"I'm at Indy camp, right?" Indy camp was a general church camp that people and families of all shapes and sizes attended once a year. I'd been going since before I was born.
She nodded. "Right after my first year at Indy Bible School."
"So....how long has camp been going on?"
"Just started. You've been through this before...anything I should know?"
"You mean about camp?"
"Or in general over the year...."
"Well, concerning camp, be prepared to run and pound on a camper door; it might save a life. And when one of your younger friends says something that sounds strange; listen to them. But don't worry, there's fun to be had as well." I wiggled my eyebrows mysteriously.
She laughed. "How did you get here?"
I shrugged. "Beats me! But it's kind of cool seeing my past self."
"It's kind of cool seeing my future self!"
We laughed together. When the laughter had subsided, she looked at me with a look of worried concern. "What about my mom...and her boyfriend?"
Of course...I should have expected that. "Well...."
"He's not her boyfriend anymore, is he?"
I shook my head. "But, he gave you his hat and a ton of sharp objects, knives, a hatchet, a double headed axe...."
"Yeah....but we moved again, didn't we?"
I nodded.
"Do I like it?"
"You mostly stay in your room."
"What's my room like?"
I started grinning, "You tell me."
She grinned in return. "Well, the walls are probably blue or green...bookshelves...my desk...my bunkbed/loft thingy...and I'm sure there's tons of stuff on the walls!"
All I did was smile. She was very, very accurate. But not completely. Of course, she didn't need to know that.
"Do you have any words of wisdom for me?"
"Wisdom? Me?!"
"Oh come on, we both know you're wiser than you act!"
I cleared my throat awkwardly. "Maybe we feel like it sometimes...but honestly, Past Me, we really aren't all that wise or smart."
She sighed, "But we can pretend, can't we?"
"Sure, why not!" I laughed.
"Well, do you? In as little wisdom as you have, do you have any for me?"
I thought long and hard. "Remember to look for the good in others...like for example, two people in your class...."
Her lip curled up. "Are you talking about...?"
I laughed. "Yes. They're not all that bad though. Remember your field trip? The rope swing? The way they were the only people in your class to push you? I mean, yeah, your class is small...but still...."
She gave me a lopsided smile. "I should say thanks sometime."
"You do eventually."
"More wisdom?"
"Um...Stay strong. DON'T DATE. Read your Bible. Don't give up on God. Do crazy stuff. Keep your knives sharp, listen to--"
"Knives? Do I kill someone?"
"No, but it's a good idea to keep your knives sharp."
She laughed. "Niiiice."
"Do you have anything you want me to always remember?"
She thought for a moment, then nodded. "Always remember the way you and Kayden always hung out and sword fought. And never forget Zena. Always remember what Corgan and Travis did for you. And of course never forget how Gavyn practically rescued you from a creep at the end of the school year."
My brow furrowed as I had a sudden thought. "Do you think this is a dream?"
"What do you mean?"
"Well, we're bother here randomly...And I have no idea how I'm here."
"Ugh, I hate stories where it was all a dream!"
"Oh me too!"
"It's just one of those--We're the same person, Katie, of course you hate it too! DUH!"
We laughed together
"But what if it is a dream?" I asked again. "Who would wake up? You or me?"
"Or both of us?"
"Oh dear...this is starting to seem like an episode of Doctor Who."
"An episode of what?"
"Doctor Who. You'll understand it all in December. One more word of 'wisdom.' Make the most of your life. You know, actually WRITE something. in a NOTEBOOK."
"As you wish." She curtsied. "Katie."
"Yeah?"
Her face went blank and she called out again, "Katie."
"I'm here!"
"Katie." Her voice sounded far away.
Even though my eyes were open, I felt them open. I blinked twice and there was my mom.
"Katie, it's time to get up!"
I stared at her stupidly for a moment before blurting, "Seriously, Mom? I was having a great heart to heart with myself!" Then despite having just woken up, I fell back to sleep.
The End.

Oh Dear
Well, I've certainly taken forever in writing on my blog. The thing is, we have no internet.
A little update on my life is that I am working on the sequel to The Unnamed Legend, Sword of a Princess, and have two books completed, and they only need an editor. They are Adventure of a Lifetime, and Mepzeemets. Strange title, I know. It doesn't matter. I like it :)
I had another thing to say, but I forgot what it was...so...g'bye.

Tips For Writers, From a Writer
Okay, so I know I don't know everything, and you may or may not enjoy this...but I'm going to give you a list or two of things that could help you out with your writing, so you can write in a way that you'll enjoy writing...but also make sure others enjoy it.
~Katie :)
- Write about something you're inspired to write about. Unless it's for a class, and you're required to write something you don't really care about, write about something that inspires you. Write about something that just BOOM pops into your mind. It will mean a lot more to you, and you'll be more likely to write more often, and enjoy writing it.
- Write in a way that would make it interesting for you to read. If you enjoy reading it, it's likely that others will as well.
- Talk about your ideas with friends, and family, and fellow authors. Friends have the wonderful ability to completely encourage you, (or if they're Gavyn, build you up while tearing you down) and family knows your strengths and weaknesses, they can help you with that. And with the fellow authors, they can help you think about it critically. People have a hard time thinking about their own work critically....
- Go through the story twice. Once when you write it the first time, while your creative juices are flowing, and once again when you're done, to catch errors, and fix plot gaps. Then turn it over to either a professional editor, or a friend you know is infamous for correcting other people's grammar and punctuation, and reading lots of books. They'll know what you need to fix and things like that.
- Don't beat yourself up too much when you realize how many mistakes you've made, after all, we all make them.
- And most of all...have fun.

Writing, Writing, HAY RIDE!
Okay, so as I'm sure you've gathered, I've been writing, and I'm going on a hayride. I'm going on a hayride with the new youth group that I started going to in this town. It's a really big youth group.
The hayride is only $1 and apparently they will supply lots of food. I don't know how fun it will be, but I hope it will be really fun.
And I've been writing a book. Other than that, there's been nothing up.
Goodbye.

Crazy Mouse!
Okay, so I am at the library in the town that my mom's fiancé lives, and it's absolutely crazy! I try to move the mouse on the computer and it goes WHOOSH, way to the other side of the screen! By the way, just so you know, I will be putting some pictures on here sometime, of stuff...and...stuff...probably my room, when I get all my stuffehz in it.
I have to save up 1,300 dollars...I also need a job. Here is why I need to do that: The place my money shall go. I want to get the one on the far left. I have discovered that I very much like Macs. They work better than most Windows computers I've used, though so far this one seems to be working well. Yay!
I'm writing another book...who's surprised? Yeah, me neither. It's what happens when I'm bored in English class. But shhh, don't tell Mrs. B, I don't want her to keep me involved :p Aren't I a rebel?
I also need to work on editing my current book (Adventure of a Lifetime) because my mom won't.
I probably won't hire an editor for this one, because I can just ask myself the same questions he asked on The Unnamed Legend. I'm a really good critic. Especially when it comes to criticizing myself. Like, last year, I got 2 Bs, and I beat myself up forever--and still do some--for one of them, because the only problem was that I forgot I needed Current Events! I plan to do better this year, and make all As. As of now I think I have all As, even in math! It's a low A...but it's still an A! And the first nine weeks is almost up! Yay!
But yeah, about the questions, I'm meaning things like, "Is this supposed to be funny? Uhhh, what are you talking about? Why does this sound strange? Where did you mention this before? This doesn't really add to the story, I suggest removing it." Things like that. If I ask myself stuff like that, I can be my own editor. NO MERCY!!! Okay, maybe a little, but for the most part...NO MERCY!!!
Maybe someday I'll print it out and have some of my friends read it.
So far, with the story I've been writing at school, Anjulah (my friend and fellow classmate, the girl who I don't have to kick out because she isn't girly,) likes it. Gavyn on the other hand criticizes it....
Granted, he has some right to criticize the first part, and it will be changed somewhat. Right now the person doesn't sound like Gavyn, who he is based off of. In the beginning it doesn't sound like him anyway.
See, there's three people I have based off of others...Devyn is based off of Gavyn (I had to have the y, because for some reason I like it...don't ask y....) Anjulah is based off of...Anjulah, and her name will probably be changed to Amber, if only I can remember to change it, and Kai is somewhat based off of me. I also have a family tree for the bad guys, because it was so hard to figure out who's related and how and all that junk. But I figured it out ^_^
Oh well, I gotta get to writing now. Goodbye.

Dragon Pics
Due to my book, (Adventure of a Lifetime) I am in a dragon-y mood, and am therefore going to "steal" pictures from google images, and show them to you. They're dragons....
I absolutely love this dragon. It's beautiful. I'm gonna see if I can get pictures of dragons that look like the ones in my book.
Aside from being an older dragon, this dragon looks about like Seven. And this dragon's eyes aren't golden.
If this dragon had golden eyes it would be Rajo perfectly.
This looks a lot like Rosko. Even down to the green eyes!
This one is gorgeous too.
Isn't that just adorable?!
Baby dragons are adorable :)
This just looks good.
Dragon egg!
Another dragon egg. I just love all this.
Beautiful....
Gotta have a few angry dragons!
I love that dragon eye!
RAWR!!!
Like I said, we gotta have some angry dragons too.
Well, I think I'm going to skidadle now.... Maybe next time I'll do some unicorn pictures!
~Katie :)
ATTENTION!
ATTENTION!!! I have had this blog for a little over two years. It's amazing. My last blog I think I only kept for a year...crazy huh?
I am wearing a sock as a headband, and it looks pretty great. It's a bright, neon orange, knee high sock. It makes a better headband than one would think! I might even have my mom take a picture or two of it!
And I will definitely make sure to get pictures of the three pictures I have drawn for the cover art of Sword of a Princess. I would like you guys to vote on it. Maybe. If you feel like it...which I hope you do...because I am woefully challenged in the area of decision making. Well, with those kind of decisions. And food. But I'm pretty good at deciding who I want to be my friend and who I don't really care much about being my friend, although I will still be nice to them. You know unless they're like a certain guy from my school and I end up having a major feud with them for the rest of the school year and stuff like that. But normally, if I have the choice I'll just avoid the person altogether.
Okay, great new news! The Unnamed Legend (my book) finally has T-Shirts!
Unnamed Legend T-Shirts
I need to sell 20 before 21 days is up, or the shirts will never print, but you won't get charged for a T-Shirt unless 20 are sold.
And while we're on the topic of my book....
The Unnamed Legend Paperback book on amazon
The Unnamed Legend e-book
Please, do not hesitate to buy a copy! I know that there are grammatical errors, and they will probably never be fixed, but I promise you that the next book will not have all those errors.
See, here is where I give aspiring authors some advice: Do not spend all your time when the book is done, editing, and re-editing it yourself. You know making different drafts. Make your first draft, then make a second draft, then give it to someone else to edit, then go back through, and make the necessary changes, and edit it yourself several more times until you're sure all the little grammar mistakes are gone, then this is where you give it to someone who is really good at grammar, tell them, "Don't you dare change anything but commas, periods, semi-colons, and other things like that, because that's already been done, and I like my book just fine how it is." let them run ramped fixing all those errors you thought you'd gotten rid of, then you go through it one last time, make sure there are no more grammatical errors, don't change a bit of the dialogue, then publish it before you get cold feet.
In short: DON'T EDIT IT A MILLION TIMES BEFORE GIVING IT TO AN EDITOR! The reason for that is that you will get sick and tired of it, realize you DON'T want to memorize your book, and not want to spend the necessary time fixing minor errors that wouldn't take much to be fixed, but just need to be found.
Comprende?
Okay, now as we're on the topic of books, I think I'm gonna go write in this one book that doesn't have a name yet, but I'm sure is going to be awesome.

Flower Gleam and Glow...
5 points to whoever guess what movie I'm watching! No clue what you're gonna do with those points, but...yeah....
So, about my writing...I've finished my first edit of Adventure of a Lifetime!!! It's about a girl who goes back to her hometown, and discovers that it's been destroyed, and the lone survivor is a psychopath who says a dragon was the one who destroyed it.... Well, he's not really a psychopath, and yes, it was really destroyed by a dragon.
I shall now tell you about the characters:
Mari: A seventeen year old girl, who is going through some stuff in her life, and feels that a visit to her home town will help clear some of the stuff up. She has brown hair, and green eyes....as do a lot of my fictional girls....
Andrew: An also seventeen year old guy, with light brown hair, and dark brown eyes....I think...yeah, I'm pretty sure that's what he looks like. He has a messed up past, but a bright future ahead of him.
Seven: A wonderful green dragon who was stolen as an egg, and now is in the hands of a mad professor.
Bernard Peasbody/BP: The mad professor, who has severe bi-polar....as diagnosed by my aunt. Many thanks....
Now, I must depart.
Farewell.

Grrrrrrr....
Anyone want to guess what's happened within the past week? Ding ding ding! Yup...my computer crashed. It's a bit depressing. Now I have to get on on a library computer, or my grandparent's computer. I don't like either options. Meh.
But anyway other than that I've been having a good time. I'm on spring break, which is one of my most favorite things ever! I've mostly been doing it writing books, and watching movies. Pretty much it.
Have I mentioned my latest book? The name...well...the name isn't completely decided yet, but it's about a girl who goes back to her old hometown, and discovers that it's been destroyed. There's one survivor, and he says that it was destroyed by a dragon. She thinks he's insane!
Yeah...I've been needing a lot of research. However, my computer has crashed, so whenever I have questions regarding dragons, I call my friend Kayden. Whenever I need help regarding medical things, I call my grandmother...if she doesn't know I contact the local clinic...hey, an author's gotta do what an author's gotta do. I contact my aunt if I need help with mental issues, and my uncle if I need help knowing what kind of alcoholic beverage a mad professor would drink.
Also, do you guys think that Bernard Peasbody is a good mad professor name?
Anyway, checking out, because I need to be working on my book...not blogging.

My Life
Hey...you wanna know what my life is about? Well, it's about many things. It's about struggling to survive, in a world where everyone wants to push me down. It's about writing my feelings, my hopes, and joys. It's about dreaming, and daring, and diving into the unknown. It's about blogging to people who I hope read my blog, and get something out of it, other than just my crazy, hyper thoughts. It's about having fun with my family and friends, and loving them. It's about doing well in school, and watching as many movies as I can watch and reading as many books as I can read. It's about writing books, poems, songs, and whatever else there is to write. It's about competing to be in the top three with writing, and so many other things. It's about feeling for the underdog, and figuring out who's actually worth my time. It's about realizing how other people feel, and trying to treat them the way I would want them to treat me if I was in their position. It's about making sure everyone knows I'm crazy and hyper.
But right now, my main focus is writing. Mostly because I'm writing right now. I'm writing on my blog, and I have Open Office popped up to write a book.
I have the most awesome idea for a book. But I doubt I should put it up on such a public place. I don't want anyone to steal it.
I'm also watching a movie. Sadly it's not a Barbie movie, because my Barbie movie won't play.
I like Barbie movies, but I'm not too fond of the super skinny, big boobed, blonde haired, blue eyed, multitalented doll that young children play with.
Anyway, I really want to write in my book, so I'm off like a banana peal.

Movie Making!
Okay, so who all has read The Unnamed Legend?
If you haven't, here are the appropriate links for you to click to buy a copy to read. Please do that before continuing with this post. Unless of course you've already watched it.
Create Space Store
Only $8.50!!!
Amazon Store
Also only $8.50 just from a different place.
Kindle Store
Only $1.00 for a kindle edition!
Buy it, read it tell all your friends!
Once you have bought and read The Unnamed Legend, please proceed.
I am assuming that whoever is now reading this has either ignored me, or has done as I commanded.
So, as you read in the title of this post...I said something about movie making...now the question is...am I running my fingers again, or am I really movie making?
The answer is...I hope so!
I have gotten it in my head to make The Unnamed Legend into a movie! I already have actors and actresses to play the following roles: King Stephan, Queen Genevieve, Dawn, Amanda, and Arik. And I have someone who said he could probably make computer generated lava beasts, and gobarts!
I still however need several horses, people to dress up as knights, a Shetland Pony, and a bunch more actors and actresses.
My mom said she could do some of the costumes, but you know, you can always use more people to make costumes....
I also need a better camera, and a camera man, although I know that a few of the actors and actresses could run the camera when they're not there.
I need a bunch more equipment, and knowledge and stuff...but I can do it! (I think)
I need locations...a castle...well, three actually, with one of the three crumbling, chickens, cows, a free empty meadow to run around in, food for the cast, and money to buy all this stuff, DVDs to burn the movie on, and people to tell me how to make a movie...because I honestly don't know how. Aren't I awesome?!
No not really, I know, I'm just crazy, and have dreams and hopes that will most likely be dashed upon the rocks like they often are :/
Oh, and I have some news about my flash drive! I might actually be able to get the data off of it at least. My English teacher said that one of my classmates might be able to get the stuff off. Now if I could only get up the guts to ask him. It's strange that I should have to get up guts, because I'm not really this shy person. I guess I'm just scared he won't be able to get it off. And that would make me cry or something.
Anyway...I really gotta go to bed, because it's 11:35, which is closer to midnight than 10:35.
So...goodnight.

MAJOR PRAYER REQUEST!!!
My flash drive is NOT connecting to any computer, so please please please pray that either we can get it fixed, or get the files off of it.
The stuff on the flash drive is basically my life. Every picture I've taken, and almost every story I've ever written is on it.
Thanks guys.

Science Projects
One thing I dislike, is a science project, when it's done by me. When the project is done by someone else, then, it's more okay, but when it's done by me...well...I just don't like them much. I'm not a scientific person. I'm the girl who had a 5 minute rant to/with her mom about Fantasy, and reality, which if I'm asked I suppose I could post on here.
But anyway...I'm doing a science project on the best cleaner for whiteboards, using little bitty whiteboards and stuff. I don't really like it much. Meh.
I thought of this really awesome scenario for a book. I just have to get my copywrite symbol so you know it's MINE ALL MINE AND YOU MAY NEVER USE IT!!! MWHAHAHAHAHHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHA*cough cough* Anyway...um...yeah.
"Hey...um...Carlos...would you mind stopping with the perverted jokes?" I asked.
He looked at her kind of funny, and said, "But they're funny. I mean, did I tell you about the time when my girlfriend looked at me, and said, 'Carlos...you're a liar, a jerk, and a sick minded pedophile.' I looked her in the eye, and said, 'Why, Sally, those are mighty big words for a three year old!'"
I had had enough, so I punched him in the shoulder. Kind of hard actually. The look of shock on his face was hilarious. But what wasn't hilarious was the fact that my principal had turned around just in time to see me punch him.
He marched over to my small table, and looked me straight in the eye. "Is there a reason you just punched Carlos?"
"Yes, sir. He keeps cracking perverted jokes, day in and day out, and I have had enough of it. So I asked him kindly to stop, he didn't, so I punched him."
My principal's eyebrows shot up. "Oh really?"
"Yes really."
"And what do you think Jesus would have done?"
I thought about it for about five seconds, before looking him straight in the eye, and saying, "I think he would have asked politely, and when the perverted jokes kept being thrown around, he would have turned Carlos over his knee, and given him a spanking."
"And is there a reason you think that?"
"Yes, yes there is. My reasoning is that God disciplines his children, and it's typically painful."
My principal raised one eyebrow. "But, violence is not the answer."
"You're right. It's the question, and the answer is...it depends on the situation."
"What do you mean?"
"I mean, you said that violence wasn't the answer. And it's not. It's the question, and the answers could be either yes, no, or it depends on the situation."
"Name me one time when Jesus used violence in a situation."
I smiled. Wow...the principal of a Christian school, and he didn't even know the answer. "Well, when he drove the money changers out of the temple. Because, I'm pretty sure he wasn't all like, 'will you leave? Please? Oh...you don't want to? Okay. Will you leave?' and that went on forever. Because if that happened, he would just get annoying and they would throw him out. Instead he probably yelled at them, and I'm pretty sure you don't tip over the money changers tables unviolently. If I turned over this table, I would do it violently."
He looked surprised that I had found a reasonable answer. "Oh really?"
"Yes really."
"So, are you trying to say that you see nothing wrong in what you've done?"
"Well..."
"Yes?"
"I suppose I could have punched him harder.... But other than that, I did nothing wrong."
My principal's face changed, and he stared at me hard. "You finish your meal, then meet me in my office."
"Yes, sir." I had the feeling I was going to be getting ISS. But I didn't really care.

The rest is told in Missy's point of view.Missy had a person in her school, who always sat at her lunch table, and told really perverted jokes. The worst part about this was that this was a Christian school. One day she had had enough.

Well, what do you think? Good? Bad? I like it, and I guess that in a way that's the most important thing. You have to like your own works. Which I do a lot of the time, but not all of the time.
Anyway, I have other net-surfing to do.
Love y'all!!!

Nothing Rant Worthy
There's so little things going on in my life, and so little things I can think about to rant about, so I haven't been posting on here lately.
So I'm here to say, "I'm sorry," And to also ask you to please read A Series of Unfortunate Events.
Also...please if you find time and money, buy my book and read it: https://www.createspace.com/ 4020101?ref=1147694&utm_id=6026
